Bemrose School Organ Concert

Bemrose 1953

"The Organ is beyond all question the grandest, the most daring, most magnificent of all the instruments created by the human genius - Balcaz."

The programme shown above announces a concert at Bemrose in 1953 to mark the successful conclusion of the organ fund following the organ's commission in 1951 by Dr. Sir William McKie M.V.O., Organist of Westminster Abbey. Sadly the Organ is no longer in the school.
